Reigning Queen Miss Freetown, representing Miss Western Area Rural, Lachaeveh Alberta Caizarine Davies, was crowned Miss Sierra Leone 2025 on Tuesday, April 29, after competing against 15 other contestants from across Sierra Leone. The 1st Runner-Up title went to Miss Pujehun, Mariyam L. Konneh, while the 2nd Runner-Up title went to Miss Bombali, Lala B. Sidibe. The final was held at the Bintumani Conference Centre. Lachaeveh Alberta Caizarine Davies will be representing Sierra Leone at Miss World.
Lachaeveh Alberta Caizarine Davies is a 23-year-old Sierra Leonean model, climate change advocate, writer, and communications student at the University of Makeni. Born on December 26, 2001, in Freetown, she has built a reputation as a multifaceted young leader. Davies is currently representing Western Area Rural District in the Miss Sierra Leone 2025 pageant.
Education and Career
Davies completed her primary education at Life of Light Preparatory School and Kingharman School. She continued her secondary education at Beacon High School in Sierra Leone. After relocating to Ghana, she sat for her WASSCE exams at Supreme College International in Kumasi. She initially enrolled at Christian Service University College in Ghana to pursue Communication Studies but later transferred to the University of Makeni in Sierra Leone where she completed a BA in Mass Communication.
Achievements and Advocacy
Davies has been actively involved in student politics, volunteering, and advocacy for climate change. She currently serves as the Minister of Tourism and Cultural Affairs at her university. Her advocacy for climate change began after realizing the impact of human actions on the environment and future generations. She has since dedicated herself to raising awareness and promoting sustainable practices.
Pageantry and Recognition
Davies’ pageantry journey began with her winning Miss Project and Miss SHS Ashanti in Ghana. She was also named Student of the Year at Christian Service University College. In Sierra Leone, she was second runner-up in Miss UNIMAK 2021 and went on to win Miss UNIMAK 2022. . In December 2024, she was crowned Miss Freetown 2024, representing the Goderich community.
