The Story Behind Make Impact Global Communications

I’ve experienced this firsthand. I’ve worked for years in communities like Sussex Beach, supporting young people and creating real change. But we didn’t talk about it. No social media, no signs, no radio. And because of that, someone thought nothing was happening—and came in with a new project. That was a painful reminder: doing good is not enough if no one knows you’re doing it.

In 2014, I started my journey in public relations without even knowing it. At the time, I was just a young man with a dream, working as a messenger for a lawyer friend and media expert based in the United Kingdom. Though he lived abroad, his heart remained in Sierra Leone. He wanted to give back and make an impact—but he needed someone on the ground he could trust.

That person became me.

We connected during the Ebola crisis in 2013–2014. I reached out to him on Facebook, and we both had one goal—to raise awareness and educate young people through social media. That one moment changed my life forever. It opened doors. I found myself in rooms I never imagined, meeting editors, government officials, artists, and changemakers. I was learning every day, growing, and turning my passion for storytelling into a purpose.

With time, I created Salone Messenger—a blog that highlighted positive stories in Sierra Leone. It later became a full public relations firm. For six years, I wore many hats: messenger, writer, connector, and eventually CEO. I worked with young talents, companies, musicians, startups, and NGOs—helping them grow their presence and reach.

But something kept bothering me.

After more than ten years in the field, I realized that many people doing great work were not telling their stories. They weren’t visible. And because of that, the ones who did little—but had strong PR support—were taking all the opportunities. It was unfair, and it was happening everywhere.

There are incredible musicians, businesses, and changemakers in Sierra Leone and across Africa. But many of them are missing out, simply because they don’t share their work. Meanwhile, those with little to show use PR to promote themselves and take the spotlight. That’s not right. That’s why I created Make Impact Global—to break that cycle.

Make Impact Global Communications is here to give a voice to those who are really doing the work. We help people and brands be seen, be heard, and be respected. We turn silence into visibility. We turn hard work into recognition. We are not just about promotion—we are about protection too.

In this digital age, people and brands face online attacks, hate, and cyber-bullying. We believe in standing up for them. That’s why we focus on:

  • Promoting the real stories of our clients
  • Protecting their name, brand, and reputation
  • Defending them in the face of cyber-bullying and online negativity

We believe no one should suffer in silence—whether they are being overlooked or unfairly attacked.

Make Impact Global is more than a PR agency. It is a platform. A voice. A shield. A stage for those doing the real work. We are here to tell the real stories, to give people the recognition they deserve, and to make sure no one gets left behind simply because they stayed silent.

Because if we don’t share our impact, someone else will write a different story
